Our brewery and taproom space in Downtown Tucson was built in 1918. We immediately envisioned its grand potential and got to work on the renovations. Almost a hundred years of add-ons including plaster over the red bricks, a drop ceiling covering the old growth Mt. Lemmon pine, and the painted hardwood fir floors were all uncovered so the original craftsmanship of the building could be seen again. We have worked hard to bring back its original luster. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do and allow it to be a place you can feel at home.
Tucson is our home so we really do care about it, its people and the environment we live in. We strive to do the little things right now so we can do bigger things in the future. If you see ways we can improve and become more environmentally and community efficient let us know.
During our renovations we reused, recycled, and up-cycled as much as we could. Our table tops, bar, and flight boards are all made out of the original timber and flooring that we had to remove to make room for the brew house. Our light fixutres were salvaged out of an old power plant in Washington State. Our bathroom doors and other fixtures were purchased locally at Gersons Used Building Materials. Small touches that lessen our footprint.
Local means so much to us! We definitely didn't start the trend but we do love being an active participant. Our logo was created by Graphic Fusion Design and additional branding is being constructed by Ryan Trayte of Saywells Design, both five minutes from our brewery. Our shirts are all purchased and printed by Fed by Threads, which might be the coolest clothing company on earth. They are also located in Downtown Tucson. If you are a local Tucson business and want to collaborate on something let us know. It's not just cool and neighborly, it is good economics!
